Youngstown State University reconizes student academic success with the President's List and Dean's List. The honorees named to the President's List are full-time undergraduate students who have earned a 4.0 average for not less than 12 semester hours of credit in the semester just ended. Dean's List recognition is awarded to full-time undergraduate students who have earned at least a 3.4 average for not less than 12 semester hours of credit in the semester.

More than 385 named scholarships provide over $3 million to help students attend, persist and graduate from BW. Students at Youngstown State University have elected 10 candidates to serve on the 2017 YSU Homecoming Court. The Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned during halftime ceremonies at YSU's football game with Illinois State University on Saturday, Oct. 28, in Stambaugh Stadium. This year's theme for the event is "Black, White and Red All Over," to commemorate the university's 77th Homecoming Celebration.
